Yellow Daylily & Shrub Rose
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Yellow Daylily & Shrub Rose.
The Yellow Daylily, or the Hemerocallis Lilioasphodelus of the Liliaceae family & the Shrub Rose, or the genus Rosa of the Rosaceae family are such a great mid-summer blend:
Yellow Daylily:
Flowers are medium: 3 to 10 inches, bloom early spring all the way to early fall, and attract bees–and are not recommended to the cat owner:
- Spacing : 8 to 12 inches (20cm – 31cm)
- Height : 2 to 4 feet (61cm – 122cm)
- Width : 9 to 12 inches (22cm – 31cm)
- Exposure : Full Sun
Shrub Rose:
Flowers are medium: 2 to 3 inches, bloom early spring to early summer, and if your zone is far enough south, late summer to early fall, and attract bees:
- Spacing : 2 to 3 feet (60cm – 91cm)
- Height : 3 to 6 feet (91cm – 275cm)
- Width : 2 to 9 feet (60cm – 91cm)
- Exposure : Full Sun
