Because of the beauty from the eye in the sky. . .I am featuring a .GIF & video of the whole loop of Atlantic Category 5 Hurricane Beryl, which was designated on June 28th, and covered apath with a distance of more than 6,000 miles, traversing the Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Bay of Campeche, and the Gulf of Mexico. Beryl also hovered the land masses of the Windward Islands including Grenadines, St. Vincent, Tobago, Trinidad, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, Venezuela, Hispaniola, Cayman Islands, Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, the United States and Canada.causing three landfalls including the United States’ landfall of Matagorda, Texas. Beryl’s United States path included the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine, The devastating hurricane established new records of earliest category 4 & 5 hurricanes on record. Beryl started out in the eastern Atlantic Ocean after the tropical wave went off the shores of Africa, at 9°N & 25°W, going due west towards and passing over the Lesser and Greater Antilles with landfalls–then continuing westward over the Caribbean, making another landfall landfall at Yucatán Peninsula, then turning northwesterly, going over the Gulf to landfall Texas. Beryl was not done: it continued to make a clear and noticeable appearance clear across the United States as a very slowly dissipating Tropical depression then extra-tropical system that made it all the way to Ohio, with rains causing havoc all the way to the northeastern Atlantic coasts of Maine, and even getting blocked by another eartern system, that caused havoc rains in Vermont. There remain areas with power outages in all areas where hurricane strength winds were experienced, with no estimate on having a 100% repair, until further information is furnished. Some areas in the Caribbean and Mexico could experience long periods without power. The earliest reports of damage costs from the experts predict that Beryl will result in $2.7 billion in insurance costs in the United States and $90 million in Mexico, which was also impacted. Caribbean governments have stated that evaluations of Beryl’s destruction are still in progress. However, their preliminary findings have already suggested that the catastrophe will come with a high price tag. Hurricane Beryl has been held responsible for a minimum of 9 fatalities in the United States, 11 fatalities as it swept through the Caribbean, and so far, no death count has been reported in Mexico. The official end of Beryl’s subtropical low was over Lake Erie, at 42°N & 62°W, as featured, all on one loop on .GIPHY.
