Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon’
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon’.
The Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon’, or the Clematis Patens ‘Ville de Lyon’ is a stunning vine with large, carmine red flowers that have crimson edges and creamy yellow stamens. Each petal has a shimmering sheen. This vine blooms from mid-summer to early fall and thrives in moist, well-drained soil. Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon’ can grow up to 10 to 12 feet long and is great for trellises or container gardening. Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Remember to prune it in late winter or early spring. Be cautious as it is toxic to pets. Clematis are loved for their long-lasting blooms and come in various colors and shapes, suitable for different climates.…
