Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Red Mister Lincoln Hybrid Rose Garden
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is a Red Mister Lincoln Hybrid Rose Garden.
The Red Mister Lincoln Hybrid Rose, or the ‘Chrysler Imperial’ x ‘Charles Mallerin’ (hybrid) of the Rosa hybrid family, is a dark red hybrid tea rose cultivar. It was bred by Herbert Swim and Weeks Rose Growers in 1964 and won the All-America Rose Selections award in 1965. Introduced in the US in 1965, the Red Mister Lincoln Hybrid Rose became the top-selling crimson rose. Flowers are quite big, measuring 6 inches or larger, and have 30 to 35 petals. The Red Mister Lincoln Hybrid Rose is a tall shrub with large, fragrant blooms and dark red foliage. It is a repeat bloomer and resistant to heat, but flourishes in optimal conditions with full sun exposure, requiring a minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. While it can withstand light shade, it thrives and exhibits greater disease resistance when grown in full sun. Steer clear of dense shade to prevent the rose plant from becoming overly leggy and yielding fewer blooms…
