I am wishing everyone a Happy Leap Day this leap year – 02/29/2024!!!

A Brief History:
U.S. Origination: Today is a February with an extra day this leap year! A year with the even amount of days being 366. The leap year happens every 4 years with exceptions. The exceptions are to skip a scheduled leap day every 100 years on the ’00 year. The second exception is to skip the century skip every 400 years, which explains why the year 2000 was a leap year. The next skip will be in the year 2400, way later than would be possible for anyone here to experience. The previous one was 1600, before the pilgrims were even in the Americas. If you have a birthday on a leap year, birthdays are typically celebrated on March 1st to represent the closest possible birthday that can be celebrated. February 29^th is Also National Time Refund Day:  National Time Refund Day commemorates the rare occurrence of February 29th, which only happens once every four years, allowing us to retrieve something as precious as time. Although this observance may have originated as a means of aligning our calendars with the universe, the opportunity to reclaim lost time encourages us to utilize it wisely. The concept of setting aside time in anticipation of reclaiming it in the future resonates strongly with the American population.
