People celebrate every day with dark chocolate, and special occasions like anniversaries, birthdays and a great day, to go alongside. The history of dark chocolate and its creation from the cocoa bean can be traced from the Xocolatl-loving Olmec, Maya and Aztecs of Mexico dating back to the era of between 1900 BC to 1500 BC. The Maya considered dark chocolate to be food of the gods, with the cacao tree being held to be sacred. They also buried dignitaries with bowls of dark chocolate.
More Recent Evolution: Since the Mayan period, the list of ingredients with the relation to most dark chocolate products has expanded vastly past simple cacao. The Last Few Centuries: In later centuries, dark chocolate continues to grow and have updated–yet vintagely produced recipes. The first dark chocolate factory in America opened in 1765.
More Recently: Today, dark chocolate is still the very delicious dessert that it has always attained from back in the old days every year. Every year, countless companies come out with a new variation, and present companies introduce different renditions and even “limited edition” variations of the recipes used to produce dark chocolate products.
