Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Lemon Ball Moss Stonecrop (Mum)

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let the is year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Lemon Ball Moss Stonecrop (Mum).

The Lemon Ball Moss Stonecrop (Mum), or the Sedum (part of the Crassulaceae family of plants) is a remote style of (mini-) mum. The ‘Lemon Ball’ variety of Sedum grows to be 6 to 8 inches high, and will spread approximately 10 to 12 inches when fully matured. The Lemon Ball Stonecrop attracts both bees and butterflies, and features stunning bright to lemon yellow, star-shaped clusters of flowers at the ends of the stems from early to mid summer. The Lemon Ball Stonecrop has foliage that is golden yellow, semi-evergreen, needle-like leaves that turns bronze in the winter months. The Lemon Ball Moss Stonecrop grows best in full sun to partial sun, and is drought and heat tolerant. wp-17007155759591345832697304505224.jpg
