This Week: Possible Falcon 9 Starlink

Next week: Mars!
NASA’s Mars Exploration Program continues with the 2,315-lb. rover, which includes the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter drone. Its landing will be on next week Thursday, 2/18! The whole mission started out with the launch of the original Alliance Atlas V rocket at Florida’s Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 7/30/20 at 6:50 am CST and was the centerpiece of NASA’s $2.7 billion Mars mission. The timing of this was unique that it was centered onto the time when Mars was closest the to earth—38.6 million miles on October 6th. The fact that it was launched at that window made it the least lengthy flight to Mars, and also so saved mega-dollars on energy costs, and just made perfect sense.
