Happy National Bomb Pop Day ! ! !
The History:
Origination: The Bomb Pop, a red, white, and blue popsicle, was invented in Kansas City in 1955 by D. S. Abernethy and James S. Merritt. It was created during the Cold War to inspire American pride. The original flavors were cherry, lime, and blue raspberry. Merritt Foods closed in 1991, and Wells Dairy took over the Bomb Pop. It remains a popular summer treat with various flavors and partnerships. In 2005, National Bomb Pop Day was established, celebrated on the last Thursday in June. There have also been legal disputes regarding its “original” status.

How Delicious Bomb Pops Are: The Bomb Pop is enjoyed by children first, but many adults indulge on the nice, soothing, and refreshing cooling effect, with a patriotic touch that the Bomb Pop provides
Cool & Patriotic: The simplest way to enjoy a Bomb Pop is to buy and eat the classic popsicle, which has red, white, and blue layers like the American flag. You can also get creative by making a Bomb Pop cocktail with grenadine, lemonade, and blue curaçao. For food, try patriotic desserts like red, white, and blue cupcakes. Use red, white, and blue decorations for a party as well. Finally, share the enjoyment of Bomb Pops with kids and explain their history.
Celebrated: The holiday is celebrated every year on June 26th.
