The The Early Sunflower, or the Heliopsis Helianthoides, Summer in the prairie features many yellow flowers, with Heliopsis often being the first to bloom. These flowers can be found in various habitats, from wetlands to dry hillsides along the way. Heliopsis helianthoides, also known as Early Sunflower or False Sunflower, is part of the Aster family and can produce seeds from both its disk and ray flowers.
