Today’s featured photo of the day! The feature is: Architecture – The Buildings of Chicago, Illinois – Another Shot of South Michigan Avenue, from then Lake Shore Drive
Here is today’s final featured photo presentation of architecture in the Part 5 series, this of South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, taken from then Lake Shore Drive north of Roosevelt Road. To let the winter months REALLY shine, I have been featuring fine photos of great architecture every week, so we can continue to honor the brighter side of life. Part 5 features the beauty of The Buildings of Chicago, Illinois. circa 2010’s on a dreary fall day. Another flashback shot shows the 800 South block of Michigan Avenue with the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) and the Hilton Towers near the intersection of East Eighth Street and South Michigan Avenue, but distinctly shows what Chicago looked like in 2016, before the 808 South Michigan Avenue building (a luxury apartment complex called Sentral/Essex on the Park, which has 56 floors and 479 units) was there, which was built in 2019. Date – October 27, 2016.
