I am glad to have been able to participate in the The Breast Cancer Awareness Giveaway Hop in October that was sponsored by Review Wire Media blog and Chatty Patty’s Place blogs. The giveaways I do all for you. my followers! This donation is very special to me because the whole concept was placed on my desk just when I though of the five year mark coming up when our family lost my cousin Lisa C. to cancer in the year 2015. The loss is always devastating, and I pledged that before the giveaway, that was dedicated to her In her name, to choose a responsible foundation that chooses to run very responsibly. I was super impressed while looking at their Form 990, that so much more money was actually going to cause as compared to a lot of other options of charity to combat breast cancer. The Foundation also makes an honest synopsis of their explanation of how they hold an “A” rating from CharityWatch on their page at: https://www.bcrf.org/financials. I was so impressed and knew that I would really make a difference so I made the decision to match the first $100.00 per individual donation, with a minimum donation of $100.00. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation‘s representative, Christine told me that there were no matches in my campaign, and I was let down–but I am absolutely glad that I made the minimum pledge because the foundation really does need to have more funds in order to battle cancer.
Mind you, these days are filled with fears and not knowing where we are going because of COVID-19, but the foundation really cannot suffer a loss because of the times. So, I have another favor to ask of each and every one of my followers. I was wondering if you could spare even $5 or $10 to go to the fund. I will be missing her over 5 years. So, my pledge to the foundation today is to assist in awareness that the foundation could use assistance all year round. If you can donate ANY amount to the great cause of researching breast cancer. They could really use assistance, and I am showing you how easy it is to make a donation.
