A Brief History:
Origination: Orville Wright (August 19, 1871 – January 30, 1948) and his brother, Wilbur Wright (April 16, 1867 – May 30, 1912), cultivated an interest in aviation from an early age. Their enthusiasm was sparked by a rubber band-powered helicopter designed by inventor Alphonse Penaud, which led them to commit their lives to the pursuit of flight. Initially, they found success in the bicycle industry, producing models such as the Van Cleve and St. Clair. However, their passion for aviation remained unwavering, and they continued to refine their designs. By 1902, the brothers were making significant advancements with their gliders and were close to achieving powered flight. They eventually sold their bicycle business, and on December 17, 1903, they realized their ambition.
