Happy 3–D Day!
To the recent National 3-D Day for 2025. In recognition all three dimensions: the 1st dimension: height, the 2nd dimension: width, and and the 3rd dimension: depth! Here we go!! 3. . .2. . .1. . .
Happy National 3-D Day ! ! !

A Brief History:
Origination: Sir Charles Wheatstone created the first stereo 3-D drawings in 1838. During the second half of the 19th century, viewing 3-D photographs became a very popular form of home entertainment. The 20th century saw the invention of 3-D movies, comic books, holography, and more ways to view representations of the world in 3-D. Recent developments in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality offer new opportunities to create and interact with 3-D media. Advancements in 3-D technologies bring digital images to three-dimensional life, assisting surgeons, projecting art around the world, and educating students. This is a very special, and slightly new holiday–originating in 2020 at the suggestion of the Center For Stereoscopic Photography, Art, Cinema, and Education. 3-D stands for stereoscopic vision.

The Perplexing Compound of 3-D: How better than to haves a day to honor and recognize the great and admirable presence of 3-D technology in the world around us. 2-dimensional view only covers height and width. In measurement in 2-D, we measure squares. . .square feet, meters, etc., or in mathematics x2.

3-dimensional view covers the height, the width and the length of any object. In measurement in 3-D, we measure cubes. . .cubic feet, meters, etc., or in mathematics x3.

The experience of 3-D happens because we have two eyes that see from slightly different perspectives. That little difference makes it possible to judge distance so when we walk or do anything we are able to determine distances by sight. A similar example of this is when astronomers were able to figure out distance of stars in light years from Earth, because the more movement of the background and the designated star happens on the two sides of the Sun, the closer the star. The more distance a star is from The Earth, the less the stars in the background. This same property goes for the human eye. The difference in the parallax is able to render a judgement in distance, and the two points of view are combined in our mind, leading to the difference between what our eyes perceive as depth.
3-D Provides True Inspiration: What does The future of 3-D holds new developments in the stereoscopic capture, display and rendering that will provide future inspiration to young scientists and story holders to create a new generation of three dimensional content. 3-D technology may truly change the world.
The Diagonal Factor & 2-D, or 3-D: Have you ever wondered how to square up, as in diagonally? If you do not have a square, the 3-4-5 method will square things up! Here is the “3-4-5 Method” to ensure 90°:
- 3 inches tall
- By 4 inches wide
- Equals 5 inches at 90° at the diagonal point
___________________________________ - 90° is true
Substitute any measurements like:
- Feet
- Yards
- Miles
- Metric Measurements like:
- Meters
- Kilometers
- More. . .
This works in 3-D! Take your width panel (must be square) with a ruler that has a metered “3”, square that panel with the length panel hold it with a ruler that has a metered “4.” Take your third depth panel, and hold it with a ruler that has a metered “5.” as soon as the points on each ruler are at ruler #1=3 at “0” on ruler #2=4 at “0” on ruler #3, when ruler #3 is at “0” on ruler #1, you are cubically squared on all counts. Doing this without tools is very hard, and impossible for one person to pull off, even if you are a master at gymnastics. But the theory still stands!
