Today was National Croissant Day for 2025! So delicious croissants are, with all sorts of food items, including bacon, sausage, cream cheese, butter and more! A great way to wake up in the morning! I have woke up early, just to have one croissant. . .Just about every day is better starting with a croissant!

A Brief History:
Origination: Croissants are known as a buttery, crescent-shaped breads or roll that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Croissants been found around the world for ages, stated in more than a few places to have originated in Austria as far back as the 13th century. Croissants are crescent-shaped rolls.

More Recent Origin: The croissant that we know today is credited to August Zang, an Austrian military officer. He opened a Parisian Viennese bakery in 1839 introducing France to Viennese baking techniques. Making a perfect croissant is all about laminating dough. Lamination is done through the process of folding butter into the mixture, thereby creating multiple thin layers of butter and dough, resulting is mouth-watering flaky crust with airy body.
Croissants Go Well With : Whether with bacon, sausage, cream cheese or butter, it is easy to celebrate National Croissant Day.
A celebration: Recognized each year across the country, a whole day that encourages croissant lovers to that special breakfast goodie, lunch treat or midnight snack.
