On Video & .GIPHY: Atlantic Tropical Storm Chris: June 24th to July 1st, 2024:
Because of the beauty from the eye in the sky. . .I am featuring a .GIF & video of the whole loop of Atlantic Tropical Storm Chris, which was designated briefly on June 30th, starting out in the central Atlantic Ocean and moving past the north of Brazil’s northern coast, remaining a disturbance while continuing going westward south of the Lesser Antilles, hovering completely over Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, then over the Gulf of Mexico, and gaining strength towards the western edge and briefly becoming a tropical storm as Chris, which made landfall with maximum sustained winds of approximately 40 miles per hour at Mexico’s eastern coast. On July 1st, the storm’s winds decreased below tropical storm status, yet the storm still yet resulted in copious amounts of rainfall in parts of eastern Mexico, completely sparing any part of the United States. Chris started out at 9°N & 55°W, resulted in destruction across multiple states in Mexico, leading to 500 homes being damaged and cars being submerged. The heavy rainfall and strong winds brought by the storm caused some areas to receive 8–12 inches of precipitation. Meteorologists cautioned that the storm had the potential to trigger flooding and mudslides, particularly in elevated areas, with still tabulating dollar amounts pending on damages, and at least four deaths in Eastern Mexico, moving to 20°N & 98°W, before dissipating over land, as featured all on one loop on .GIPHY.
