We celebrated the recent National Bagel Day! They are so delicious! Bagels, with all sorts of food items, including bacon, sausage, cream cheese, butter and more! What a way to wake up in the morning! I have woke up early, just to have one bagel. . .Just about every day is better with a bagel. . .

A Brief History:
Origination: Bagels originated in Poland circa the 13th century. The first known recipe for bagels dates back to 1610. Bagels are crafted using the fundamental components of bread, including flour, yeast, salt, and sweetening. The roll’s spongy and chewy texture is achieved through the use of high-gluten flour, which can be made lighter by incorporating eggs, milk, and butter.
More Recent Origin: Another version of the story places the origins of bagels in Austria during the late 17th century. According to this account, a Viennese baker in 1683 created the first bagels as a way to honor the King of Poland, Jan Sobieski.
