Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day: Mount Hood Daffodil

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let this year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Mount Hood Daffodil.

The Mount Hood Daffodil, or the Narcissus poeticus ‘Recurvus’ is a Liliaceae or a Perennial forb, and this variety is a slightly later bloomer of an early spring species variety, slightly later than most other Daffodil–with bulbs that has stems that grow to 16 to 18 inches–unbranched, somewhat flattened, glabrous, often glaucous. with several bladeless sheaths in addition to several basal long foliage leaves. Plant Mount Hood Daffodil in a sunnier spot (can have only a modest amount of shade, more than most varieties, one that gets at least a minimum of 6 hours of bright sun each day.

  1. Another set of great bulbs! Daffodils are wonderful! I found a perfume last year that captures their elusive scent perfectly. It was discontinued though, after only one season, I am hoarding it like a miser!!
