I continue with our beauty of churches, to symbolize faith and hope and to brighten up the times, so we can honor the brighter side of life. So, here is yet two extra really great photos of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church-this time of some nice closeup photo shots, right in Oak Lawn, Illinois!

Photo #2 taken with a Nikon EM-through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=NONE, Aperture=5.6 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/60th second, loaded with Kodak Plus-X Black & White 135 Negative Film ISO (ASA) 125 (fine grain) processed with D-76 Processing Chemicals, and a fiber paper print using the Kodak Professional “warm-tone” enlargement paper developed with Kodak Dektol chemicals onto a 3½x5″ matte-gloss print. FACT: By using a larger aperture you are able to pin-point focus, meaning closeup objects, still shots, or even portraits always have better results on the prime area of focus, hence a better shot of your closeup—no matter what you are trying to photograph. Remember when it comes to aperture, you need to remember that a “larger” aperture always means a “low” f-stop. Back-lighting introduces leaving the exposure to leave more light hit the film no matter whether it is “digital film” or physical film. Increments are two-stops, full-stop, half-stop, third-stop—of letting the amount of light making exposure intensity more.

Another fine Architectural photograph to follow very soon: Feature – Part 1: Churches!!

  1. Beautiful old church! My 2 favorites here in NYC are St. Patrick’s Cathedral (filled with tourists though), and Trinity Church, all the way downtown. Alexander Hamilton is buried there in the churchyard.
