Today’s featured photo of the day! October’s feature is: Fall Color/Landscapes
Here is today’s featured photo. For the month of October I am featuring fall color and landscapes photography as the style. For today, I am posting another great photo of a colorful tree at Hambone Lake in the Cook County forest preserves near Palos Heights in Illinois on a cloudy day. Date – October 1981.
Photo taken with a Nikon EM camera through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=polarizer, Aperture=16 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/125th second, loaded with Konica ISO (ASA) 100 Color 135-20 Negative Film processed with C-41 Processing Chemicals, and a Type C Print using the RA-4 enlargement paper process, onto a 4X6″ semi-gloss print.
☼TIP: There is always presence of glare, sunny or cloudy. Use of a polarizer grants better, more vivid shots, but require at least 1 f/stop extra exposure due to the filtering. A little more work is required using Malus Law in order to dial in the proper degree to get proper effect. ☼
Enjoy, and the month flew by! Tomorrow I will feature the difference between film photography and a cheaper digitized camera from earlier in the decade when flip-phone cameras were not so high quality, and you will be able to see the quality difference.
